Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Safa, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Use of the service
Safa is provided for personal, non-commercial use as a Quran reading and worship companion. You may use it on devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from.
3. Religious and informational disclaimer
Safa is a study and worship companion. It is not a religious authority, it does not issue religious rulings, and nothing in it should be treated as a substitute for learning from qualified scholars. Decisions about religious practice remain your own responsibility.
4. Content accuracy
We aim for accuracy in the Quran text, translations, tafsir, hadith, and other material presented in the app, but we do not warrant that all content is free of error or omission. Where accuracy matters to you, please verify against an authoritative printed or scholarly source. If you find an error, please report it through Support.
5. Third-party content and services
Some content and functionality is provided through third-party sources and services. We do not control those services, and their availability, accuracy, and terms are their own. Attribution and licensing information is maintained on the Licenses page.
6. Intellectual property
The Safa name, logo, application design, and original app content are owned by Safa. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners and is used under the terms noted on the Licenses page. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app or its original content without permission.
7. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use Safa for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, accounts, or systems
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law
- Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute content from the app or its APIs
- Misrepresent Safa's content as a religious ruling or as endorsed by any authority
8. Accounts
Creating an account is optional and is used for cloud synchronization. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering, and you may delete your account at any time as described on the Support page.
9. Termination
You may stop using Safa at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued access poses a risk to the service or other users.
10. Availability
Safa is provided on an "as available" basis. Features that depend on network access or third-party services may be interrupted or discontinued, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Safa and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the prior twelve months or fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50).
12. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features as the app develops, including features that depend on third-party content.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise.
