Safa uses content, data, fonts, and software created by others. This page records known attribution and items still being verified.
Verification pending. This page avoids assuming rights that have not been confirmed. Entries marked for verification need source or license confirmation before release.

  • Quran text & translations

    Verify before release

    Quran content is retrieved through the Quran.com API. The current default English translation is M. Pickthall's translation. Other translations returned through the API may have different source and licensing terms.

  • Tafsir

    Verify before release

    The default tafsir is Ibn Kathir and is retrieved through the Quran.com API. Other tafsir content available through the API may have different source and licensing terms.

  • Recitation audio

    External verification required

    Quran recitation audio is sourced from everyayah.com. The exact redistribution/streaming terms require verification before release.

  • OpenStreetMap data

    Attribution required

    OpenStreetMap/Overpass data is used by the mosque finder. Attribution: © OpenStreetMap contributors.

  • Fonts

    Attributed

    Cormorant Garamond and Plus Jakarta Sans are credited under the SIL Open Font License.

  • Open-source libraries

    Manifest-based

    Open-source library attribution should be generated from the project's dependency manifests rather than a manually maintained package list. See this website's package.json and the Safa app dependency manifests for the current dependency set.
